by Shubhabrata Bhattacharya, MK Shukla and Alam Srinivas

The clamour for government jobs is rising across India—from Jats in Haryana to Patidars in Gujarat to Kapus in Telengana and Andhra Pradesh and Marathas in Maharashtra. The Jats are again threatening to lay a siege on the National Capital with yet another agitation, seeking Backward Class status. The issue is examined in detail by Shubhabrata Bhattacharya, MK Shukla and Alam Srinivas
